By air …

The nearest airport to eaga House is Newcastle International.  If you are driving from the airport, follow signs for the A1 (South) and follow the directions below.

If you would prefer to use public transport, there is a Metro station within Newcastle Airport. Board a train headed for South Shields, South Hylton or Pelaw and follow the directions below.

By rail …

The nearest train station to eaga House is Newcastle Central Station, which is on the East Coast Main line and many other routes.

When disembarking at Newcastle, the easiest way to travel to eaga House is via Metro.  The “Central Station” Metro is situated to the right of the main exit, next to the Centurion bar and restaurant. Travellers should head to platform two and board a train headed for either St James via the Coast or The Airport.

Travellers should leave the Metro at Jesmond (the third stop after leaving Central Station) and follow the walking directions below.

By Metro …

eaga House is closest to Jesmond Metro station, which is accessible on all Metro routes.   Upon leaving Jesmond Metro station, travellers should adhere to the following directions:

  • Upon exiting the station, turn left
  • Travel down the flight of steps straight ahead of you. A ramp is available to the left of the steps
  • Upon emerging from the underpass, you will see a ramp and small flight of stairs to your right. Head up these steps.
  • At the top of the stairs, follow the path until you are directly facing the main road, turn left and follow the path along and under the office block which crosses that path.
  • eaga House is to your left, directly opposite “Mr Lynch”. Visitors should head to the entrance nearest to Sandyford News.

By road …

From the North

  • From the A1Southbound, take the A167 exit
  • At the Kenton Bar roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A167/A696
  • At Harehills Roundabout, take the second exit onto the A167/A696
  • At Ponteland Road, take the 3rd exit onto the A167
  • AT Cowgate Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A167 – this becomes the A167 (M) signposted City Centre/East and South
  • Take the ramp signposted Cit Centre/Wallsend/A193
  • At Jesmond Road, take the 3rd exit onto Osbourne Terrace
  • At Sandyford Road take the 2nd exit onto Sandyford Road
  • When it is safe to do so, cross the dual carriageway and turn right into Archbold Terrace

From the South

  • From the A1 Northbound, take the A184 exit
  • Bear left onto the Redheugh Bridge Roundabout ramp
  • At Reheugh Bridge Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Askew Road
  • Turn left at the A167
  • Bear left at the A167(M)
  • Take the ramp to A1058/Tynemouth/East
  • At Jesmond Road, take the 3rd exit onto Osbourne Terrace
  • At Sandyford Road, take the 2nd exit onto Sandyford Road
  • Turn right onto Archbold Terrace

Parking

Limited parking spaces are available at the front and back of eaga House, if you would like a visitors’ space at eaga House, you should either contact the eaga House reception, or the person you will be meeting and book a space. Visitors’ spaces fill up quickly so please book as early as possible. You will be allocated a numbered space, please ensure that you park in the correctly numbered space.

There is plenty of pay and display parking in the vicinity of eaga House:

  • Parking metres and some parking spaces are available directly opposite eaga House
  • Parking is also available behind the buildings opposite eaga House. The car park can be accessed from either end of the street
  • There is another pay and display car park across the dual carriageway from Archbold Terrace in the grounds of the TA Centre

Visitor information

  • eaga House is located on Archbold Terrace, directly opposite Mr Lynch pub (formerly The Archer)
  • The visitors’ entrance is easy to spot due to eaga branded windows on either side of the door
  • Reception is located on the second floor of the building
