Paul Varley, Divisional Managing Director - Government Contracts

Paul VarleyPaul has a proven track record of delivering success and managing rapid growth in contract management businesses and has extensive experience in business process reengineering whilst maintaining a strong customer focus.

Paul joined eaga in 2006 from LogicaCMG where he was the UK Business Development Director responsible for outsourcing strategy. Previous to that he was an Operations Director with Siemens UK.

Paul started his career as an accountant with Procter & Gamble where he progressed through the organisation working alongside production, marketing and sales teams and finally into general management as Associate Director Accounting and Finance, Global Business Services for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Ashley Guise, Divisional Managing Director - Heating

Ashley GuiseAshley joined eaga as Associate Director Group Strategic Development in April 2006. Prior to joining Eaga, Ashley was Head of Business Process and an executive board member for Fulcrum Connections, part of National Grid Transco.

He started his working life as an apprentice technician in British Gas and then worked his way up through engineering, sales, marketing, business development, account management and general management roles.

In 2001 Ashley was involved in setting up and managing the £1 billion ‘Affordable Warmth’ programme in close liaison with government fuel poverty experts and raised £500 million of EU funding. Ashley was responsible for the delivery of all gas connection activities across the UK for National Grid covering over 160,000 connections and in excess of £250 million turnover, supporting National Grid’s licence condition requirements.

Jan Moore, Divisional Managing Director - Insurance

Jan Moore

Jan Moore has worked alongside eaga since 1997, initially as a director of APA (Asset Protection Administration) Limited which was acquired by the Company in late 2005.

After university Jan embarked on a technical insurance career in the London market. As a professional indemnity specialist, Jan joined the then Hogg Robinsons Group eventually transferring to a specialist niche company in the group where she first became involved in warranty insurances. Experience with major manufacturer insured vehicle warranty programmes followed, as well as with specialist insurance programmes for major finance companies.

Paul Bowens, Divisional Managing Director - Specialist Business Services

Paul BowensPaul started his career as a retail sales trainee with North Eastern Electricity Board (Northern Electric) working his way up to store management roles then senior management positions in area management, business development manager and as commercial controller.

He was seconded to Northern’s energy supply business to set up and run the product development team and oversee the launch of new energy and home related products and services. Paul returned to the company's retail business as Business Development Director when Mid American sold Northern Electric's supply business to Npower.

Paul joined eaga in 2002 to support Commercial Director, Drew Johnson in managing commercial and development activity for the company. He was appointed as Director of Commercial Development in 2004.

John Melo , Divisional Managing Director - Group Shared Services

John MeloJohn joined eaga in July 2007 after a few years of operating as an independent Consultant providing advice to Private sector organisations on their outsourcing and shared services operational models and as the Interim Programme Director responsible for the design of the Whitehall HR Shared Services operation.

He started his working life as a trainee computer operator and worked his way up to becoming Head of Treasury Systems for Midland Bank and IT Director for Thomas Cook Group worldwide.  Other roles he performed in Thomas Cook were Corporate Change Director and Customer Services & Operations Director for the Financial Services Division.  He then joined Bradford & Bingley as Group Operations Director and later assumed responsibility for Human Resources in the run up to flotation. 

John later became Managing Director of Business Process Outsourcing in Xansa where he was responsible for the development of a business unit that achieved turnover of £46m and grew to 670 staff within its first 20 months of operation.
