Government Affairs

Houses of ParlimentThrough its partnership with central and local Government, Eaga is uniquely positioned both at the front-end delivery of social and environmental improvement programmes and the heart of policymaking.

Eaga has provided evidence to Parliamentary Committees on climate change, fuel poverty and energy efficiency.  We regularly influence policy through detailed responses to consultations on environmental, energy and social issues and engagement with senior politicians and advisors.

Eaga's relationship with Government and Parliamentarians is coordinated by Government Affairs Manager, Anne Toms. Anne and Government Affairs Officers Damian Lee and Helen Coates work proactively with parliamentarians and political stakeholders across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland. Individual constituency reports, regular meetings and community based awareness events ensure parliamentarians are actively engaged with Eaga’s work at both national and constituency level. We also provide regularly updated constituency focused microsites for parliamentarians in England and Wales, which are used to ensure they are aware of the progress of our schemes in their areas and to provide answers to any questions that may arise.
